Content Creation Intern, ProMazo

I am a member of the content team at ProMazo, a management consulting company that provides business solutions by connecting companies to students. I currently work with one of our clients, Outcome Health, to provide quality, creative content and to tell their story to media consumers. I also run ProMazo’s various social media accounts. I connect to and network with client and student audiences on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instragram by promoting original content and engaging with industry news.

I work on a client team within Northwestern’s student marketing agency, F&F. I use knowledge of digital and print marketing methods to help out client Wrestlepocalypse – a student wrestling show – achieve higher recognition, visibility and interest.
Editorial Intern, The Prague Visitor
August 2016 - December 2016
At The Prague Visitor, an English language travel magazine, I further extended my knowledge of magazine production and magazine-style writing. I focused on writing unique stories while also contributing to other aspects of production. In addition to reporting and writing, I helped brainstorm editorial content, I worked with the lead editor to conceptualize editorial themes for each issue, I created InDesign layouts, and I assisted with distribution.
Intern, Natural Awakenings Magazine
June 2016 - August 2016
My position at Natural Awakenings Magazine, Chicago Western Suburbs edition brought me face-to-face with all aspects of running a publication. As an intern, I was exposed to the advertising and marketing, editorial and art components that need to be coordinated to create a successful publication. Specifically, I created and designed marketing materials used in ad sales, wrote content published online and in print, and assisted in administrative duties.
Intern, The Cradle Adoption Agency

As an intern at The Cradle Adoption Agency, I work with the Communications and Outreach team to create content and drive traffic. This involves creating web content such as written features, educational videos, e-newsletters and blogs, often through interviewing families, birth parents and staff members. Additionally, as a member of the outreach team I maintain and use social media as a method of digital marketing, analyze the success of marketing campaigns and assist in the creative side of brainstorming and crafting marketing strategies.
Various, North by Northwestern

I have filled various roles at North by Northwestern, an independent student publication. I have been a writer, designer, creative director and most recently associate editor. As the Creative Director of the Spring 2016 magazine, I oversaw all aspects of magazine’s design, photography and art. In order to coordinate a consistent and engaging aesthetic I met regularly with all designers and art and photo editors. Specifically, I was responsible for this Spring's design update which featured a more consistent, visually appealing and modern look. This position exponentially improved my leadership, management and design skills.
This year (2017), I transitioned to the editorial side of the publication. As a senior section editor, I am in charge of the content, overseeing the writing process, and editing for one large section of the magazine. I meet with writers regularly to go over edits, story progression, reporting, format and more. In weekly staff meetings, I collaborate with the entire staff to pitch stories, and develop design, art and web/interactive ideas, as well as contribute to the editing of all content.
